2 boys are playing in a shed.A ceiling fan falls and makes dust fly everywhere.1 boy is completely clean,and the other is covered with dirt.The clean boy rushes and washes his face and the dirty boy just sits there.Why did they do that?

Ceiling Fan ‘Clicks’ but only at night?

I have a ceiling fan that clicks, but it only does this at night. I’ve balanced the blades, replaced a warped blade (I don’t think it was really warped but I replaced it anyways) and still, after 8-9pm it will click and rattle. It won’t do this during the day at all. My wife said she heard it click one single time during the day. Its one a 1 foot extension pole and I’ve tightened all the screws on the fan/pole/and mounting stuff in the ceiling. I can’t for the life of me figure out why it only clicks during the night time. It stays on high all day, we never shut it off unless its to balance the fan. I do live in Az and the difference in temps during the day/night is only about 5degrees. Any ideas to how to fix this?

It *may* be that the bead chain is *ticking* against a glass globe of the attached light fixture. This is just a guess based on one of my own, but if it does indeed have a glass globe style light as part of the fan, this *could* be the rascally answer. During the day, there may be enough ambient noise that you don’t notice it, but at night, you turn off the TV, and most other ambient *noise makers* and there it is. A noisy taping sound. If this seems to be the case (and it very well may not be either, just a guess here), then simply put something soft around the part of the beaded chain where it contacts glass.
I can think of anything else that would cause that sound ONLY at night.
