Ceiling Fan Ticking

ceiling fan ticking
Heavens’ clocks?

Where’s the clock ?
Every one gets a clock when they are born, and it hangs on the wall in heaven throughout their entire life, ticking off the seconds until they arrive at the pearly gates.
Each time the owner commits a sin on Earth, the clocks’ big hand skips a minute as it counts down the moments the owner has left on earth.

All the clocks were in a row near the front gate when one political reporter arrived for his appointment with St Peter.

I can see all the rest of the political clocks, except for Bin Ladens’ said the man.

Oh, that’s not here at the moment said St Peter thoughtfully rubbing his chin, that one is on loan at the moment, there has been a scorching heatwave and I believe they are using Bin Ladens clock as a ceiling fan in hell.

Danny – you have a warped sense of humor. Are all Aussies the same as you? Or are you the One and Only, The Original?

Have you got a clock ticking up there? Or is your clock on loan, too?

Cheers from Florida, U.S.A.

Silicosis – Concrete Dust Exposure

How much silica has to be inhaled before causing problems? I was at my friends house yesterday, and we were jackhammering the concrete slab in his enclosed basement to move some pipes that the contractors had put in the wrong place. We only did a small area, for about 5 min. Not much dust was produced, and I was standing about 15 ft. from where he was jackhammering. We had some ventilation with a box fan in a window, but not a whole lot. Neither of us had respiratory protection since it was such a small job, plus I didn’t know about silicosis till today. Will my body remove this small amount of silica and will have any problems from it? I am only 26, and I am already concerned about it. Anybody have any stories about working with silica? I hope that I don’t develop this disease in the future from this exposure. I am really scared and worried. What are your experiences?

Dude, don’t worry about it. People worked with concrete for hundreds of years.
Many have done it their whole life, complaining only of joint pain, due to the lifting, etc.
Just wear a mask, or a cloth/bandana around your face next time. Alternately, you could keep the area moist, to prevent dust. Jackhammers work even while wet.
