Switching ceiling fan globes?

We bought a Harbor Breeze Edenton ceiling fan and replacement globes to switch out the ones in the box. Upon inspection of the box’s contents we learned that the globes do not seem to be interchangable. The replacement globes are meant for fixtures that utilize screws to tight the shade in place, while the fan’s apparatus uses a srew-in type of “locking nut” that sits behind the light bulb. Is a retro-fit kit available to use the open-stock glass in our new unit?

you need a retro fit/general purpose light kit that uses the set screw type globe and has the same diameter as your fan where the light kit kit mounts to the bottom. should be easy to find where you bought the fan, not to much extra.
