Ceiling Fan Fitters
How do you convert a ceiling fan light kit to a chandelier? Parts? Where to buy?
I have an old style ceiling fan light kit that uses 4 inch fitter glass globes. 2 1/4 inch fitters are the normal size today for chandeliers. I want to use the globes again in a chandelier since they match our decor, but I can’t find any lighting reasonably priced with 4 inch fitters. So, I got the wild idea of converting the light kit into a chandelier. It will require a chain, wire and some parts to make a chandelier body, but I don’t know where to get started. Anyone do this before?

Lighting Fixtures are tested and approved (like UL,etc.)to be used as is or configured as intended by the manufacturer. To be acceptable by the Code Department and the Ins.Co.your modifications would have to be approved by a Certified Testing Lab or a recognized authority. (very exspensive)
