Ceiling fan w/light installation. ?
How do I install the fan with light having two independent functions (light alone, fan alone or using both)?
I have from breaker black and white; I have from ceiling fan black, white and blue; I have from the light switch black and white. Urgent please.
Go to a home improvement place and buy a remote control which will allow you control the fan and light separately with a two pair wire. They are about $30.
Else you will have to run a three wire from your light switch and install another switch. One to control the fan and the other to control the light.
The last alternative is to connnect the hot wire from the light switch to the black and blue wire from the fan. Then control the light and fan from pull chains (if you have them).
