A/C fan sounds like it might be out of balance. I can’t DIY. How much should it cost to have someone fix?
Fan is in ceiling and started sounding like the back-up beeping a car makes. Everything else works as it should, even the fan so far.
i would guess its the fan motor going bad in the air handler part of the AC system from your description .. and i would expect to fork out quite a bit for a new handler installed .. it could be possible to get a competant type handyman to try to look at it and possibly oil the fan motor bearings (if indeed thats the problem) and get some more life out of it .. paying a professional outfit to look at it their going to sell you a new handler most likely and not fool around like that ..
